Session Guide
Preparing for session day
A little preparation makes for a sleepy, settled baby — and dreamy photos.
- 1Feed your baby right before leaving home — a full tummy means a sleepy baby.
- 2Dress baby in loose, easy-to-remove clothing (avoid tight elastics 1–2 hours before).
- 3Keep baby awake for about an hour before the session if possible.
- 4Bring 2 extra bottles/feeds, diapers, wipes and a pacifier if you use one.
- 5Our studio is kept warm (~26°C) — dress lightly yourself!
- 6Parents joining photos: soft neutral colors (cream, beige, white) photograph best.
- 7Plan to arrive 10 minutes early so the session starts calm and unhurried.
Frequently asked questions
When is the best time for a newborn session?+
The sweet spot is 5–14 days after birth, while babies are still sleepy and curly. Book while you're expecting — we hold your date flexibly around your due date at no charge.
How long does a session take?+
Between 45 minutes and 3 hours depending on your collection. We never rush: feeding, cuddling and soothing breaks are part of the plan.
Is posing safe for my baby?+
Always. Our photographers are trained in newborn safety, a spotter is present for every posed shot, and advanced poses are created as safe photo composites.
What should we wear?+
Soft, neutral tones (cream, beige, sand, white) photograph beautifully and never date. Avoid busy patterns and logos.
How does payment work?+
A 50% deposit reserves your date and unlocks your online agreement. The remaining balance is due on the session day. Extra photos and full-album unlocks can be purchased later from your preview gallery.
When do we see our photos?+
Your private watermarked preview gallery arrives 2–3 weeks after the session. Pick your included favorites, add extras if you wish, and your final edited album follows.
